KEY POINTS
Slow Car using good clutch control
Quick steering
Good observation
Having asked you to pull up at a convenient place on the left theDriving test Examiner will say "I want you to turn the car round to face in the other direction using forward and reverse gears. Try not to touch the kerbs when you are turning" (or words to that effect)
FAQ
What if I hit the kerb?
Try not to! If you do, carry on with the manoeuvre as best you can. If you have only just touched the kerb gently, the Examiner may record it as a Driving Error.
What if I don't get round in three?
Don't panic. Although people call it a three point turn, you don't have to do it in three (particularly if you are in a larger vehicle or the road is narrow). Stay calm and make it into a five point turn! As long as the Examiner is satisfied that you have controlled the car well and done satisfactory observation, this will be ok
